ABOUT Louise Beck, LICSW and John Longo,
LICSW
Louise
Beckis a licensed psychotherapist in the States of MA and
NH. Louise has provided psychotherapy in a variety of outpatient settings;
psychiatric and medical hospitals; and emergency services. She has
helped patients significantly reduce and eliminate their symptoms of
depression and anxiety as well as eliminate compulsive behaviors using
scientifically proven cognitive and behavioral interventions. In addition
to her private practice she teaches on Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy nationally and internationally.
Louise Beck completed an advanced standing MSW program at Smith College,
a 2 year extern program in Family Systems Theory and a Harvard Psychiatry
Fellowship at Mass. General Hospital in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
and Research. Louise also trained with Aaron T. Beck, Founder of Cognitive
Therapy, of the Beck Institute in Philadelphia. From Boston University,
Louise received a BA in Anthropology and a Master's degree in Counseling.
She is a Fellow in The Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
John
Longo is
a licensed psychotherapist in the States of MA and NH. John has provided
clinical services in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings as
well as in emergency department care. He has provided symptom relief
for many individuals while teaching them cognitive behavioral techniques
and methods to self manage their depression, anxiety, and to change unwanted
behaviors. As a professional musician, John also has an interest in working
with artists experiencing difficulty with their creative expression.
John completed his MSW at Boston University, and his BA in Psychology
at Clark University. He is a member of the Association for Behavioral & Cognitive
Therapies.
